ESMO Press and Media Affairs Committee and ESMO Social Media Working Group

The ESMO Press & Media Affairs Committee and the ESMO Social Media Working Group work to guarantee the correct positioning of ESMO as the voice of medical oncology across different channels.

Activities and responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and issues where ESMO needs to have its voice heard and correctly understood.
  • Create the internal framework for communication activities in line with the Society’s strategy.
  • Provide reliable and independent information and commentary on current medical oncology, cancer and cancer-related issues to allow the community to develop an educated judgement.


ESMO Press & Media Affairs Committee

The Committee is a permanent body of the Society and works to ensure that the ESMO positions are promptly and correctly spread to all oncology stakeholders and wider audiences with the ultimate goal of advocating for a better context for research against and treatment of cancer
